Designed by Robots is the portfolio of Dan Gates (i.e. “Me”), a web developer coding in PHP, living and working in Buckinghamshire, England, and working in London as Lead Developer for Bite.

I’ve been building websites professionally for 5 years during which time I have worked within an agency, as a freelancer, as an in-house developer, and now I’ve gone full circle and I’m back in an agency working with a wide range of clients including Sony and Nokia.

My tools of the trade are PHP and MySQL, with a side of Javascript, a sprinkling of jQuery and the usual CSS and HTML (XHTML, HTML5, whatever really) base.

To quote Anchorman (a film I’ve never seen) – I love LAMP.

Personally

I live with my girlfriend Faye and a cat called Sweep, I love cars, travelling, have an interest in Theoretical Physics and enjoy procrastinating. I’m expecting my first child in February 2012.
